About Alianza Academic Evaluations
(formerly Arizona International Credential Evaluators (AZICE))
Effective January 26, 2026, Arizona International Credential Evaluators (AZICE) is operating under its new name: Alianza Academic Evaluations (AAE).
Arizona International Credential Evaluators changed its operating name to Alianza Academic Evaluations to better reflect the collaborative, partnership-driven, and international nature of its work. The name Alianza (meaning alliance) aligns with the organization’s mission, its work with institutional and regulatory partners, and its continued focus on professional, standards-based credential evaluation.
This change represents an evolution in branding and positioning only. There is no change to ownership, leadership, evaluation methodology, professional standards, or accreditation status. AZICE and Alianza Academic Evaluations are the same organization, and all evaluations are prepared using the same rigorous practices.
Yes. All evaluations previously issued under the AZICE name remain valid and were prepared using the same standards and methodology.
No. The analytical approach, conclusions, and equivalency determinations remain aligned to accepted best practices and remain consistent before and after the name change.
During the transition period:
- Applications submitted before January 26 may receive reports branded as AZICE
- New evaluations will display the Alianza Academic Evaluations name and logo
- Both refer to the same organization.
Alianza Academic Evaluations is the same organization formerly known as Arizona International Credential Evaluators. Evaluation reports are valid for five (5) years from the date of issuance, and during that period applicants may request additional official copies of their evaluation.
As a result:
- Evaluations originally issued under the AZICE name may continue to be reproduced and provided throughout their five-year validity period
- These copies may display the AZICE branding but will be issued and transmitted by Alianza Academic Evaluations
- Recent applicants may receive evaluations branded as AZICE, and institutions and agencies may continue to receive evaluations bearing the former name for up to five years
Alianza Academic Evaluations will honor, reproduce, and verify all evaluations issued under either name. We are happy to confirm the authenticity and validity of any evaluation upon request.
New evaluations will display Alianza Academic Evaluations and will include the notation “formerly Arizona International Credential Evaluators”.
No. Alianza’s endorsement by the Association of International Credential Evaluators (AICE) remains continuous and unchanged.
We recommend that for a while institutions list our name as: Alianza Academic Evaluations (formerly Arizona International Credential Evaluators).
Yes. Alianza will update the format and layout of evaluation reports to improve clarity. Content, conclusions, and standards will not change.
Please contact contactus@alianzaeval.com for verification or confirmation during the transition.
Getting Started
A credential evaluation is a report that interprets your international academic records and compares them to the U.S. education system. It shows what your diploma, degree, or coursework is equivalent to in the U.S.
Credential evaluations are used for admission to U.S. schools, applying for jobs, obtaining licensure, immigration, or transferring credits.
You can apply online at alianzaeval.com/apply. Choose your evaluation type, upload your documents, and submit your payment.
Check with the institution or agency requiring the evaluation. Generally, schools and licensing boards need a course-by-course evaluation, while employers or immigration may only need a document-by-document report.
Evaluation Types & Process
The type of evaluation required depends on the purpose for which it will be used.
Common examples include:
• Document-by-Document Evaluations – often used for employment, immigration, or general credential verification
• Course-by-Course Evaluations – often required for admission to colleges and universities or for professional licensing
• Specialized Evaluations – such as barbering or cosmetology evaluations for licensing boards
If you are unsure which evaluation is required, please consult the institution, employer, or licensing authority requesting the evaluation.
A document-by-document evaluation provides the U.S. equivalency of each credential. A course-by-course evaluation includes individual courses, grades, credits, and GPA.
This evaluation compares your vocational training to Arizona’s state requirements, including training hours and certification.
Our standard processing time is approximately 3 weeks from when all required documents are received. Rush options are available.
Standard processing times begin after all required documents have been received and accepted by our office.
In some cases, additional time may be required if:
• documents are incomplete or do not meet submission requirements
• verification of academic records is necessary
• additional clarification is needed from the issuing institution
These steps are sometimes necessary to ensure that evaluation reports are accurate and reliable.
The outcome of an evaluation depends on the structure, recognition, and academic level of the educational program completed in the country where the studies took place.
Because education systems vary widely around the world, Alianza Academic Evaluations cannot guarantee a specific U.S. equivalency before reviewing official academic documents.
Evaluations are prepared using recognized international credential evaluation resources and established professional practices.
Documentation & Translations
You must submit official transcripts, diplomas, and certificates. These must be in the original language and accompanied by English translations.
Yes. We require official records sent directly from your institution or through a secure credentialing platform.
Applications must be submitted before documents can be reviewed or matched to a case.

Processing of an evaluation begins only after all required documents have been received and accepted by our office.
If documents are missing, incomplete, or do not meet submission requirements, the evaluation cannot enter the processing queue.
To avoid delays, please review our document requirements carefully before submitting your application.

Additional Questions
Can I call your office about my evaluation?
To ensure accurate and efficient processing of all evaluations, Alianza Academic Evaluations manages case communication in writing.
If you have questions about an application, document requirements, or the status of an evaluation, please contact us by email at contactus@alianzaeval.com.
Written communication allows our team to review documents carefully and maintain a clear record of each case.
Evaluation updates are sent by email when your application is complete and when your evaluation report has been issued.
Because evaluations move through several review stages, we are not able to provide individual status updates while an evaluation is within the normal processing timeframe.
If the published processing time has passed, you are welcome to contact us by email for assistance.
Yes. You may request additional hard copies by contacting our office and paying the applicable mailing fee.
In some cases, yes. A provisional evaluation may be issued, but it will not be accepted by most agencies until official documentation is received.
